In 2005, eight major works by Serra were installed permanently at the Guggenheim Museum in Spain. There is a trend now to demean abstract art as not being socially relevant. Excellent early examples include Terminal, a 40ft trapezium comprised of four enormous sheets of rolled steel created for documenta VI 1977.
