Located throughout the American frontier, Western saloons were part of the landscape, present in small camps and growing towns alike. Saloons in the Wild West served as repositories of information, houses of companionship, and refuge points amid isolation and loneliness. The activities that took place at saloons were emblematic of the American West itself; just as settlers gambled everything to embark into the unknown, saloon patrons could bet their earnings on a friendly game of faro or poker. Saloons provided a means of survival, even offering a chance at wealth and prosperity on the frontier. The realities of an old Western saloon match up to how you might imagine them - gathering places for men interested in drinking, gambling, and an overall good time - only with fewer gunfights and a lot more variability. As young men worked as farmhands, on railroads, or as miners, they looked to saloons as a social outlet. When people arrived at a saloon, they could talk to fellow travelers or locals, engage in a bit of business , and relax while having a drink. Researcher Kelly Dixon found evidence to support the notion that saloons were more about collegiality than conflict. At former saloon sites in Virginia City, NV, Dixon found more bottles, smoking pipes, and game boards than bullets or signs of violence. Saloon patrons may have also looked for companionship while there.
They were gathering sites for drinking, socializing, and relaxing, and they often became the focal point of an entire camp or town. Locations lacking a church , for example, might see services held in the local saloon, which shut down drinking and gambling briefly out of respect for a visiting preacher. This was especially true in towns along railroad lines , whereas saloons that popped up in mining camps were more susceptible to failure when the gold or silver gave out. As towns grew, so did the number of saloons.
When saloons became bigger, they moved into permanent structures and offered increasingly diverse forms of entertainment; gambling options increased and furnishings improved.

Что касается выдержки, то это бочки из под бурбона и хереса. Но как мне кажется, хереса там совсем чуть-чуть, его совершенно не ощущается в запахе и он едва-едва проявляется сладостью во вкусе. Познакомился я с этим виски совершенно случайно - после долгой прогулки в не самую комфортную погоду заскочил в первый попавшийся бар хлопнуть что-то согревающее, выбора в меню практически не было и я решил что вот он момент попробовать что-то новое. И это был чрезвычайно удачный выбор, так как Акентошен идеально подходит на роль виски, который можно "хлопнуть" без эстетского смакования. Теперь о самом напитке: Аромат: Лёгкий цитрусовый аромат с нотами ванили и кислинкой зеленого яблочка. При этом запах всё таки приятный, без спиртуозности.

Скорее всего люди сперва пили Лафройг 10, а потом купили Лафройг QC, представляя его себе наверное таким же как "десятка". Но это несколько иной виски. В общем на вкус и цвет товарищей нет. Но например я сперва попробовал QC, и он мне очень понравился. Только после него я попробовал Лафройг 10, и если честно сказать - был немного разочарован. Его поражающая все чувства резкость показалась мне несколько передёрнутой, почти искусственной.
Лафройг QC - для меня лично более изысканный и утончённый вариант чем Лафройг 10.

Если раньше из горлышка на природе он напоминал блендед виски, то из бокальчика дома на органолептику это водка, честно побывавшая в контакте с древесиной дуба. Спиртуозность никуда не пропала, бурбонных нот не обнаружено.
Допивать не стал, оставил на компрессы и переключился на Crabbies Yardhead, который совсем не из кукурузы, но бурбонные нотки там есть за счёт выдержки пару лет в бурбонной бочке.
Но повторюсь, это моё мнение, я сделал его для себя, никого ни в чём уговаривать и убеждать не собираюсь. Если что-то не нравится, то лучше не брать, чтобы потом не разочаровываться.
И как всегда главные вопросы: нужно ли его брать и стоит ли он своих денег. И здесь ответы очень просты. Если есть сомнения в том, что этот виски вам нужен - то его не стоит брать, можно будет легко разочароваться.
