Released 3 years after the first version, this one adds extra printing to the entire Minifigure. The legs have some additional printing at the knees to give it a bit more of an interesting look, and the chest has a large section spreading from the Arc reactor to the shoulders.
It has a cleaner look, and as such the Minifigure pares back the printing to keep things relatively sparse. The detailing we get is solid and accurate to the movie version we see in Avengers: Age of Ultron. This is another LEGO Minifigure where we get the usual transparent blue bricks as the rocket boosters. It has all the usual details and print applications covering it and even has some really nicely defined red and gold paneling down either side of the stomach. The only issue we can see is that while the Iron Man in the movie has a fully exposed Arc reactor, the Minifigure has half a reactor.
It is fairly accurate to the suit we see on screen. However, they add more gold highlights on the torso and leg pieces. Perhaps this is because they used earlier concept art to base their prints on, or perhaps they just wanted to make the Minifigure look a little more interesting. It has a great-looking triangular Arc reactor printed in the center of the torso piece, and we like that LEGO gave it space to breathe, leaving the detailing towards the bottom of the torso and onto the legs. This Iron Man Minifigure comes complete with the wing accessories that he battles with.
Ее фотографировать не стал - обычная коробка. Режу упаковку, достаю - и вот она. Красиво оформлено, ярко, недешево. Внутри - матрешка - еще две коробки. Детали расфасованы по пакетиками, подписанным цифрами в порядке сборки - от 1 до 4, всего 16 пакетиков. Инструкция толстая, цветная, печать качественная, без какой-либо грязи, что нередко бывает у дешевых конструкторов. Из трудностей при сборке могу отметить большое количество мелких деталей - у меня крупные руки и толстые пальцы, кое-где пришлось попотеть, чтобы защелкнуть объемные панели.
Теперь по сборке. Модель состоит из четырех основных частей - правый и левый бока и плечами, передняя навеска и голова. Каркас из деталей - аналогов Лего Техник - для жесткости. Очень много уникальных деталей, которые Вы вряд ли найдете в других наборах. Порадовало качество исполнения элементов - все соединяется, ничего особо не разваливается, шестеренки крутятся, червяк входит в зацепление.
У меня не было нового шлема Железного Человека который с этого года уже старый , не было таких эффектов, да и вообще ещё одна броня всегда пригодится. К тому же у меня не было журнала "Мстители", что тоже можно считать расширением коллекции.
Впрочем, вынужден отметить несколько недостатков. Во-первых, оба лица Тони Старка напечатаны ужасно. Во-вторых, этот набор эффектов не подходит для визуализации способностей ЖЧ.

The helmet piece is, however, one of only two pre-printed pieces, with the other being the control panel inside the cockpit. The rest of the additional fine detail is provided by stickers. The exception to this is the massive arc reactor on the chest as this circular piece is stickered and lining this up perfectly will make all the difference to the finished model. What is an interesting design choice is that the circular tile the sticker sits on is glow-in-the-dark, a subtle, but ingenious decision. The limbs, for the most part are symmetrical, the legs being identical mirror images of one another. The only deviation comes in the lower halves of the two arms and whilst both feature large blue disruptors, using transparent blue circular pieces, each arm features a different type of working stud shooter. The right arm features the more common rotating 6-stud shooter which can be fired by rotating the back, very effective weapon against anything Iron Man can throw your way. Both of the weapons work effectively to give Iron Monger a great interactivity for play.
