New Features Autodesk Revit 2024
Schedule Revision Clouds Quickly manage your revision cloud parameter information using revision cloud schedules. Create revision cloud schedules to better review and manage all the revision clouds in your project, and see which view or sheet they belong to. This way, you can easily see each revision in your project and make modifications, or directly edit the schedule fields if necessary. Link Coordination Models Visually cross-check between models of various disciplines and phases of a project.
Here is an in-place mass creating a tunnel within the toposolid. This was not possible in previous versions of Revit. Cut geometry enhancement With the advent of the toposolid feature, there have been enhancements to what kind of elements can be used to cut other elements.
Because the toposolid is a solid, Revit does not know that other elements should automatically cut it. If you have foundation walls going below grade, for example, you now must use the Cut tool and select the wall and the toposolid to get the correct graphic results in a section. Link coordination model Revit can now link a large number of file formats stored in BIM 360 via a linked Coordination Model. These models are represented within Revit as lightweight geometry and can be easily navigated. Sub-elements can be selected, and their properties are listed in the Properties palette. If you were paying close attention just now, you might have connected the dots that a Revit model can be linked in as a lightweight model.
This might be helpful with specific consultant models. Here is the big news, with this new feature, not only can you link in a Revit model, but you can link different versions of Revit models! For example, your Revit 2024 model can link in a Revit 2022 model without needing to upgrade the 2022 model. Enscape does not support this element type in Revit. However, neither does Revit apparently. If you select Realistic in a 3D view the entire coordination model disappears.
So, use caution before deciding to replace your linked consultant Revit models with coordination models.
There will hopefully be a new tool in the future to be able to handle cuts in Toposolids in a better way. Our team is certainly looking forward to being able to host families on toposolids. Revit has made it so floor-based families and railings are able to be hosted onto them, which is definitely something that can be used in a variety of projects. Both of these buttons have an arrow for additional options.
These options have been available in a project file for annotation items and work the same as they do in the. We will definitely be using this feature to arrange the annotation files when creating families. It might take a while to get the hang of how it works but it seems like a good addition. For those of us who used to work in AutoCAD, not having a dark theme in Revit always took a while to get used to. We finally have a dark theme in Revit and it does very much seem worth the wait.
It has several options to really customize it. To turn it on, you will need to navigate to the File tab in the upper right and then select the Options button. There is a new tab in this property box named Colors. In this tab, you will be able to set Dark Theme or Light Theme with the dropdown. The rest of the colors can be customized in each theme using RGB colors.
After making the change to Dark Theme, the UX and drawing area will go dark. The nice thing is that the drawing area can be controlled separately. This is a really nice feature for those that like dark theme in the UX but still want the white background in the drawing area. You will find that some property boxes will still be in Light Theme.

Solar enhancements When running a solar study, the sun settings are now presented on the ribbon, as shown below. Clicking the Sun Settings button opens the traditional Sun Settings dialog with the same settings.
In addition to project location and true north being set, the Sun Settings define where the sun is within Enscape. New visual style — Textures Revit has a new view style called Textures, which is a cross between shaded and realistic similar to the view style in SketchUp. It shows the appearance asset texture but without global lighting, so the materials are a consistent color on all surfaces and at all angles. It is possible to have ambient and sun shadows on in this mode, as shown in the example below ambient shadows are on. Previously, the only way to see the texture was to turn on Realistic, which is way too slow, and that is what we have Enscape for! The site tools represent the most significant change for architects! The second video will focus solely on the structural changes and new features both in Revit 2023. Like many interface updates, these are quite subjective; some will love the dark theme and others will want to stick with the standard interface. I have also noticed that some of the browsers and dialogs are still using a white background, so, if you are using the system browser the dark theme will look a little odd.
We have also gained a search function in the Project Browser which is incredibly useful, not just for searching views but also the loaded content. I can then just drag theses into the project to use them. This new visual style allows users to see textures without having to use the realistic mode which uses lighting and other settings. I quite like this new visual style; it works well and is significantly faster than realistic. Of course, you can also use this in plans, sections and elevation views for presentations. The models can be used for in-context modelling and have rudimentary snapping via the Revit point snap function. In the example below you can see that I have linked a bridge pier across from Autodesk Docs that was authored in Autodesk Inventor.
This is a great way of integrating models from many other BIM and manufacturing authoring tools. Topography updates Toposurfaces have now been discontinued in this release and the new toposolid tool is now the preferred method to create topography. There have been several improvements with the introduction of toposolids such as the ability to cut the toposolids and also incorporate thickened layers to create raised solid regions. These can be used to represent basic landscaping and roads. In the example below, a toposolid has been excavated around concrete foundations by cutting the family from the solid. If required, the excavated volume can then be displayed. The second example shows a retaining wall.
The toposolid can be cut vertically on the back face of the wall which makes editing the toposolid very simple. If desired, cut and fill can also be calculated with a toposurface by using graded regions. Sheet, Revision and View updates Building on the updates from the previous releases, Autodesk are making working with sheets a little easier. In Revit 2024 we can now move views between sheets and keep alignments and positions. The best feature is being able to add a revision to multiple sheets. Multiple views can now be moved to other sheets either by selecting the views or simply dragging and dropping from the project browser.

What's New in Revit 2024

Даже не знаю, вроде полезно, но совсем мелочь. Размышлял над этой тёмной темой и почему о ней говорят как о большом улучшении, на мой взгляд она может быть удобна когда в темноте работаешь, чтоб глаза не уставали. Я так не работаю уже давно, только при хорошем освещении. Но всё таки это косметическое улучшение, на то как работает программа не влияет. Архитектурные изменения: 7. Так что новинка как мёртвому припарка, всё равно нужно отдельно моделировать такие решения как и раньше.
Допили немного так сказать Добавили возможность сделать выему под смоделированным элементом перекрытием, фундаментой плитой и т. А сразу так нельзя было сделать? Но и здесь не без проблем — выемку делает, а насыпь нет. Так что ещё надо допиливать. Для меня так же важно что теперь при редактировании вершин отображаются горизонтали!
