И у меня возникла мысль, а как он проявит себя если его поставить против шотландского виски? Идея понравилась, осталось только найти шотландца из одной весовой категории. Недолго думая я выбрал Deanston Virgin Oak. Да всё просто. Тут также не торфяной виски, которой выдерживался в той же комбинации бочек, только в другом порядке. Да и по своему возрасту они достаточно близки. Про оба виски я уже написал подробно в отдельных материалах, и, не затягивая, приступлю к их битве. Фото сделано автором По цвету паритет, тут сравнивать смысла нет. Нос Nestville Single Malt Ровный, сладкий с нотками ванили, фруктов, печёных яблок, пряных специй, дуба, леденцов и нот картона.
Держится хорошо, без особого развития, и не сильно упрощается. Deanston Virgin Oak Ровный с нотками трав, фруктов, ванили, пряных специй, дуба, а также покрытых воском яблок с маслянистым характером. Ароматика можно сказать паритет.
Вкус: Никакой маслянистости и обволакиваемости. Самому странно это писать, но на вкус очень "жидко" - вангую, что "спасибо" говорим тройной дистилляции и холодной фильтрации. Во вкусе лёгкая сладость, переходящая в кислинку и горечь шоколада.
Послевкусие: Очень быстро исчезающее солоновато-горькое послевкусие. Если подвести некоторый итог, то можно сказать что виски сбалансированный - всё приятненько, но одинаково не солидно для 12ти лет. Что аромат, что вкус, что послевкусие. С другой стороны, ценник для 12ти лет ниже среднего, по сравнению с другими представителями этого возраста.
