At the beginning of the idea I thought I can just add a relay to move the table up or down, but soon after opening the case where the buttons are I figured out that there is a microprocessor controlling the table.
Either way, we have our misgivings. As a rule of thumb, heavier bases are more stable and reliable. The base legs are round, which some people find more aesthetically pleasing in a home decor than the much more common rectangular legs. The reason most manufacturers use rectangular legs in their electric bases is to increase the longitudinal stability of the desk front-to-back wobble , so this is a slight trade-off of form versus function.
