These are spaced out sufficiently so they do not overlap, but they likely require manual adjustment once placed.

Display order controls added to family editor. Resizable Dialogs There are over 20 existing dialog boxes that have been enhanced to allow resizing. Figure 18.

Architectural The architectural discipline has several new features and will make a lot of architects and designers happy. Of course, we will all have wishlist items not found in the update. Be sure to head to the Revit Ideas site and make sure you post or vote for enhancements you want.
Here is an example of a much needed enhancement to the Bind Revit Link Revit Idea that would maintain phases — most do not realize that all phase settings are lost when you bind a Revit link until they need to do it! Textures View Style Revit has a new view style called Textures. I was in the beta user group for this one.
It is a cross between shaded and realistic. It shows the appearance asset texture but without global lighting, so the materials are a consistent color on all surfaces and at all angles. It is possible to have ambient and sun shadows on in this mode as shown in the examples below.

Sun settings on ribbon When running a solar study, the sun settings are now presented on the ribbon as shown below. Clicking the sun setting button opens the traditional sun settings dialog with the same settings. Another enhancement includes the ability to select much shorter time increment options.

Если при «Координации» выбрать «Все», то оси видно, само УГО отрисовывается в нужном порядке, но при этом ещё в стиле невидимых линий отображается основная геометрия семейства. Оформить план красиво по-прежнему нельзя. Всё-таки Ревит 2019 — великолепен.

This means that there will never be grass inside the building coming through a floor slab or coming through a sidewalk again in Enscape. These models are represented within Revit as lightweight geometry and can be easily navigated. Sub-elements can be selected, and their properties are listed in the Properties palette. If you were paying close attention just now, you might have connected the dots that a Revit model can be linked in as a lightweight model. This might be helpful with specific consultant models. Here is the big news, with this new feature, not only can you link in a Revit model, but you can link different versions of Revit models!
For example, your Revit 2024 model can link in a Revit 2022 model without needing to upgrade the 2022 model.

Site design tools have been redesigned which makes it easier to model topography and create landscape project. Toposurface, Building Pad and Subregion tools are completely removed. Toposolids replaced Toposurface. As their names suggest, the main difference is that Toposolids are created as solid geometry and Toposurface as surfaces. Toposolids are very similar to shape-edited floors, or more precisely it combine features of floors and toposurfaces from previous versions of Revit. You can create new types of Toposolid and change types using Type Selector. Unlike Toposurface, Toposolid has a thickness and you can set different contour display for every toposolid type. Toposolids can host floor-based families.
Toposolids are new system families with compound layers and type parameters. Add multiple layers and set materials. You can create toposolids from sketch or CAD imports, just select layers that contain points. You can use Split tool from the Modify tab to split a toposlid into multiple toposolids. You can use Graded Region tool on toposolids in Existing phase. Grading of surface points at toposolids works the same way as the shape editor at floors. Sub-Divide tool replaced Subregion tool.
You can use Sub-Divide to apply different materials to a toposolid. Then you can set material and height thickness for each sub-division. Mass void replaced Building Pad tool. Create void mass and use the Cut tool to create hole in the Toposolid. This workflow is less comfortable than using Building Pad tool but it enables to create any shape for site excavations or tunnels. Cutting enabled for topography. You can cut a toposolid with other toposolids or with elements in other categories, including walls, floors, structural foundations, etc.
In previous versions of Revit, you probably used railings to create curbs.
The use of BIM tools has significantly transformed how buildings are designed and constructed; therefore, it is not surprising that most Revit Software users belong to the construction industry. The release of Revit 2024 is quite interesting.

The second video will focus solely on the structural changes and new features both in Revit 2023. Like many interface updates, these are quite subjective; some will love the dark theme and others will want to stick with the standard interface.
I have also noticed that some of the browsers and dialogs are still using a white background, so, if you are using the system browser the dark theme will look a little odd. We have also gained a search function in the Project Browser which is incredibly useful, not just for searching views but also the loaded content. I can then just drag theses into the project to use them. This new visual style allows users to see textures without having to use the realistic mode which uses lighting and other settings.
I quite like this new visual style; it works well and is significantly faster than realistic. Of course, you can also use this in plans, sections and elevation views for presentations. The models can be used for in-context modelling and have rudimentary snapping via the Revit point snap function. In the example below you can see that I have linked a bridge pier across from Autodesk Docs that was authored in Autodesk Inventor.

In the example below, a toposolid has been excavated around concrete foundations by cutting the family from the solid. If required, the excavated volume can then be displayed. The second example shows a retaining wall. The toposolid can be cut vertically on the back face of the wall which makes editing the toposolid very simple.

Structural Updates As in the previous release, the focus remains on the workflows and toolsets with the analytical modeling process. Also, we see some strengthening of the reinforcement tools with the addition of bending details and alignment control when using freeform rebar.

Новое средство просмотра проблем позволяет изучать проблемы с графиками, включая ошибки и предупреждения, в проигрывателе Dynamo. Доступ к средству просмотра проблем можно получить из нижнего колонтитула проигрывателя после запуска графика, если имеется хотя бы одна ошибка или предупреждение, или из меню «Параметры». Зависимости каждого графика можно проверить в проигрывателе с помощью нового диалогового окна «Зависимости графика». Это диалоговое окно позволяет быстро определить, какие пакеты, внешние файлы или другие зависимости требуются для корректной работы графика, что позволяет выявить отсутствующие зависимости и установить их в Dynamo. Доступны два новых образца графиков: «Случайное размещение экземпляра семейства» и «Предупреждения — изоляция элементов». Изображения доступны в качестве выходных данных в проигрывателе Dynamo.
При внесении изменений и повторном запуске графика изображение обновляется. Можно сохранить изображение из проигрывателя, щелкнув его правой кнопкой мыши. Траектория солнца на видах в перспективе!
