But We seal over their hearts so they do not hear. Yusuf Ali: To those who inherit the earth in succession to its previous possessors, is it not a guiding, lesson that, if We so willed, We could punish them too for their sins, and seal up their hearts so that they could not hear? Abul Ala Maududi: Has it not, then, become plain to those who have inherited the earth in the wake of the former generations that, had We so willed, We could have afflicted them for their sins, they, however, are heedless to basic facts and so We seal their hearts so that they hear nothing. Muhsin Khan: Is it not clear to those who inherit the earth in succession from its previous possessors, that had We willed, We would have punished them for their sins.
And We seal up their hearts so that they hear not? Pickthall: Is it not an indication to those who inherit the land after its people who thus reaped the consequence of evil-doing that, if We will, We can smite them for their sins and print upon their hearts so that they hear not? Ghali: And is it not a guidance Literally: Does it not guide them to the ones who inherit the earth after its population that, if We so decide, We will afflict them for their guilty deeds, and We stamp upon their hearts so they do not hear?
Abdul Haleem: Is it not clear to those who inherit the land from former generations that We can punish them too for their sins if We will? And seal up their hearts so that they cannot hear? And certainly did their messengers come to them with clear proofs, but they were not to believe in that which they had denied before.
Thus does Allah seal over the hearts of the disbelievers. Yusuf Ali: Such were the towns whose story We thus relate unto thee: There came indeed to them their messengers with clear signs : But they would not believe what they had rejected before. Thus doth Allah seal up the hearts of those who reject faith.
Abul Ala Maududi: To those [earlier] communities - some of whose stories We relate to you - there had indeed come Messengers with clear proofs, but they would not believe what they had once rejected as false. Thus it is that Allah seals the hearts of those who deny the truth. And there came indeed to them their Messengers with clear proofs, but they were not such as to believe in that which they had rejected before.
Thus Allah does seal up the hearts of the disbelievers from each and every kind of religious guidance. Pickthall: Such were the townships. We relate some tidings of them unto thee Muhammad.
Thus doth Allah print upon the hearts of disbelievers that they hear not. Ghali: Such were the towns We narrate some tidings of them to you, and indeed their Messengers already came to them with the supremely evident signs. So in no way could they believe in what they had cried lies to earlier.
Thus Allah stamps upon the hearts of the disbelievers. Abdul Haleem: We have told you [Prophet] the stories of those towns: messengers came to them, and clear signs, but they would not believe in what they had already rejected- in this way God seals the hearts of disbelievers. Demikianlah Allah meteraikan di atas hati orang-orang yang kafir.
Yusuf Ali: Most of them We found not men true to their covenant: but most of them We found rebellious and disobedient. Abul Ala Maududi: We did not find most of them true to their covenants; indeed We found most of them to he transgressors. Muhsin Khan: And most of them We found not true to their covenant, but most of them We found indeed Fasiqun rebellious, disobedient to Allah.
Pickthall: We found no loyalty to any covenant in most of them. Nay, most of them We found wrong-doers. Ghali: And in no way did We find loyalty to any covenant in most of them, and decidedly We found most of them immoral indeed.
Abdul Haleem: We found that most of them did not honour their commitments; We found that most of them were defiant. So see how was the end of the corrupters. Yusuf Ali: Then after them We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they wrongfully rejected them: So see what was the end of those who made mischief.
Observe, then, what happened to the mischief-makers. So see how was the end of the Mufsidun mischief-makers, corrupts, etc. Pickthall: Then, after them, We sent Moses with our tokens unto Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they repelled them.
Now, see the nature of the consequence for the corrupters! So look how was the end of the corruptors! Abdul Haleem: After these, We sent Moses to Pharaoh and his leading supporters with Our signs, but they rejected them.
See the fate of those who used to spread corruption. Maka perhatikanlah bagaimana kesudahan orang-orang yang berbuat kerosakan.

Our Lord, decide between us and our people in truth, and You are the best of those who give decision. Our Lord can reach out to the utmost recesses of things by His knowledge. In the Allah is our trust. Our Lord has knowledge of all things, and in Allah we put our trust. Our Lord!
Judge rightly between us and our people, for You are the best of those who judge. And it is not for us to return to it unless Allah, our Lord, should will. Our Lord comprehends all things in His Knowledge. In Allah Alone we put our trust. Judge between us and our people in truth, for You are the Best of those who give judgment. It is not for us to return to it unless Allah our Lord should so will.
Our Lord comprehendeth all things in knowledge. In Allah do we put our trust. Decide with truth between us and our folk, for Thou art the best of those who make decision. Ghali: We would have already fabricated against Allah a lie in case we ever went back into your creed, after Allah has finally delivered us from it; and in no way can we return into it, unless Allah, our Lord, so decides. Our Lord embraces everything in His knowledge. On Allah h we have put our trust.
Arbitrate with the truth between us and our people, and You are The Most Charitable of arbiters. We put our trust in God. Our Lord, expose the truth [and judge] between us and our people, for You are the best judge. Dan tidaklah harus kami berpindah kepadanya sama sekali, kecuali jika Allah Tuhan kami, menghendakinya. Ghali: And the chiefs who disbelieved from among his people said, "Indeed in case you ever follow Shuaayb, lo, surely in that case you will indeed be losers. Yusuf Ali: But the earthquake took them unawares, and they lay prostrate in their homes before the morning! Abul Ala Maududi: Thereupon a shocking catastrophe seized them, and they remained prostrate in their dwellings. Muhsin Khan: So the earthquake seized them and they lay dead , prostrate in their homes. Pickthall: So the earthquake seized them and morning found them prostrate in their dwelling-place.
Ghali: Then the Commotion took them away ; so in the morning they became cowering bodies in their residence. Ghali: The ones who cried lies to Shuaayb were as if they had not flourished in it; the ones who cried lies to Shuaayb were they who were the losers. Orang-orang yang mendustakan Nabi Syuaib, merekalah orang-orang yang rugi. I did indeed convey to you the messages for which I was sent by my Lord: I gave you good counsel, but how shall I lament over a people who refuse to believe! Surely I conveyed to you the message of my Lord, and gave you sincere advice. How, then, can I mourn for a people who refuse to accept the truth?
Ghali: So he turned away from them and said, "O my people! Indeed I have already proclaimed the Messages of my Lord and advised you sincerely , so how should I feel sad for a disbelieving people? Sesungguhnya aku telah menyampaikan kepada kamu perintah-perintah Tuhanku, dan aku telah memberi nasihat kepada kamu. Oleh itu, tidaklah aku merasa sedih terhadap orang-orang kafir yang telah binasa itu ". Yusuf Ali: Whenever We sent a prophet to a town, We took up its people in suffering and adversity, in order that they might learn humility. Abul Ala Maududi: Never have We sent a Prophet to a place without trying its people with adversity and hardship that they may humble themselves.
Muhsin Khan: And We sent no Prophet unto any town and they denied him , but We seized its people with suffering from extreme poverty or loss in wealth and loss of health and calamities, so that they might humiliate themselves and repent to Allah.

Джуз — это одна из 30 приблизительно равных частей Корана, читаемая по одной в течение каждого дня месяца Рамадан, так чтобы к концу месяца было прочитано все Писание. То есть Коран условно делится на 30 одинаковых по объему частей, чтобы мусульманам было легче осилить весь объем Книги Аллаха за короткое время. Первый джуз Корана начинается с первого аята первой суры — «аль-Фатиха» и продолжается до середины второй суры Корана — суры «аль-Бакара». Сура «аль-Фатиха» состоит из 7 аятов.
Коран отвечает им: «О люди Книги! Вы осуждаете нас только по той причине, что мы верим в Аллаха и откровение, которое пришло к нам и то, что было до нас , и возможно , что большинство из вас мятежные и непослушные? Этот раздел также предупреждает мусульман не идти по стопам тех, кто сбился с пути. Среди всех этих предупреждений есть напоминание о том, что некоторые христиане и иудеи добросовестны и не отклоняются от учений своих пророков. Среди них есть партия на правильном пути; но многие из них идут по злому пути » 5:66. Ожидается, что мусульмане будут добросовестно подходить к соглашениям и поддерживать их цель. Мы не должны предвосхищать сердца или намерения людей.

Yusuf Ali: Whenever We sent a prophet to a town, We took up its people in suffering and adversity, in order that they might learn humility. Abul Ala Maududi: Never have We sent a Prophet to a place without trying its people with adversity and hardship that they may humble themselves. Muhsin Khan: And We sent no Prophet unto any town and they denied him , but We seized its people with suffering from extreme poverty or loss in wealth and loss of health and calamities, so that they might humiliate themselves and repent to Allah. Pickthall: And We sent no prophet unto any township but We did afflict its folk with tribulation and adversity that haply they might grow humble. Ghali: And in no way have We sent any Prophet into a town except that We took its population with misery and tribulation that possibly they would earnestly supplicate Us. Yusuf Ali: Then We changed their suffering into prosperity, until they grew and multiplied, and began to say: "Our fathers too were touched by suffering and affluence"... We called them to account of a sudden, while they realised not their peril. Muhsin Khan: Then We changed the evil for the good, until they increased in number and in wealth, and said: "Our fathers were touched with evil loss of health and calamities and with good prosperity, etc. Pickthall: Then changed We the evil plight for good till they grew affluent and said: Tribulation and distress did touch our fathers. Then We seized them unawares, when they perceived not. Ghali: Thereafter We exchanged in place of an odious deed a fair reward , i. Muhsin Khan: And if the people of the towns had believed and had the Taqwa piety , certainly, We should have opened for them blessings from the heaven and the earth, but they belied the Messengers. So We took them with punishment for what they used to earn polytheism and crimes, etc. Pickthall: And if the people of the townships had believed and kept from evil, surely We should have opened for them blessings from the sky and from the earth. But unto every messenger they gave the lie, and so We seized them on account of what they used to earn. Ghali: And if the population of the towns had believed and been pious, We indeed would have opened upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth, but they cried lies, and so We took them away for what they were earning. Abdul Haleem: If the people of those towns had believed and been mindful of God, We would have showered them with blessings from the heavens and earth, but they rejected the truth and so We punished them for their misdeeds. Ghali: So, do the population of the towns feel secure that Our violence will not come up to them in their homes at night while they are sleeping? Abdul Haleem: Do the people of these towns feel secure that Our punishment will not come upon them by night, while they are asleep? Yusuf Ali: Or else did they feel secure against its coming in broad daylight while they played about care-free? Abul Ala Maududi: Or, do the people of those towns feel secure that Our punishment will not come to them by daylight while they are at play? Muhsin Khan: Or, did the people of the towns then feel secure against the coming of Our Punishment in the forenoon while they play?
