Michael[ ] On January 30, 2023 Jaafar was announced to portray the role of his uncle, Michael in an upcoming biopic movie, Michael. The artist has began rehearsing for the production in November of that year. The production for the film began in January 2024. Jaafar was reported by TMZ as the one who bought the weapon, having played with it for three days. One of the sources even claimed the kids were caught playing with the stun gun while chasing the then-8 year old Bigi.
In January, Jaafar was revealed to have been cast as the leading role of Michael in the biopic, per Deadline, and at the time, jumped to his social media pages to express his excitement. He shared a black and white image of himself wearing a similar outfit Jackson had worn in the past while striking a dance pose inside a studio. In a statement, the filmmaker expressed his thrill to be a part of the project. I was influenced to make music videos by watching his work — the first Black artist to play in heavy rotation on MTV.
