Point-mass Interaction with Extended Bodies Nonspherical gravitational interaction has been modeled using a spherical harmonic expansion. For Earth, the interaction of the zonal harmonics up to the fifth degree and the point masses of the Moon, Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn have been modeled. For the Moon, the interaction of a degree and order 6 gravity field and the point masses of Earth, Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn have been modeled. For the Sun, the interaction of the second-degree zonal harmonic with all other bodies has been modeled. Once the accelerations are computed in the body fixed frame, they are transformed into the inertial frame for integration. There is also an interaction between the figure of an extended body and a point mass, often called the indirect acceleration.
These coefficients are computed from the moment of inertia tensors as a function of time and the detailed description is given in Section 4. The second-degree spherical harmonic coefficients are given by where Iij,T represent the elements of the total lunar moment of inertia matrix see Section 4 , mM is the lunar mass, and RM is the lunar radius. The tidal distortion of Earth can be modeled using the second-degree gravitational Love numbers, k2j,E , where the order j is 0, 1, and 2 for long-period, diurnal, and semidiurnal responses, respectively. Именно он создавал программу для полета космических аппаратов на Марс. Но то ли ему не давала покоя слава своего именитого предшественника и он тоже захотел прославиться, став вторым Ньютоном, то ли по еще какой причине, но он решил проверить выкладки Птолемея по своим формулам. В результате пришел к выводу, что Птолемей практически по всем ошибался, а некоторые данные и вовсе придумал. В своей книге «Преступление Клавдия Птолемея» Р. Ньютон также обвинил Птолемея в фальсификации и подгонке своих и чужих наблюдений с целью лучшего согласия с расчетами по своей теории. В ответ на эти обвинения, ряд крупных ученых скрупулезно прошлись по всем его выкладкам и в свою очередь уличили самого Р. Ньютона в грубых ошибках в расчётах. Знаете, почему вдруг приостановили эксперимент, когда только-только стали его разгонять и выводить на приличную мощность в конце прошлого года? Потому что, по слухам, стали получать ТАКИЕ результаты, которые заставляют пересмотреть многие существующие теории и гипотезы. Взяли паузу, для обдумывания…. А ну как рванет?
